El Mirasol Villas

(15 Ratings)
Odest gay resort in PS
Originally built by Howard Hughes in the '40s, this resort features an elegant atmosphere only blocks away from Palm Spring's nightlife. Spanish-style paved walkways guide guests to pools, an outdoor shower, fountains, and a eucalyptus steam room.

Great for couples

Awesome, friendly and relaxing atmosphere I have ever experienced in Palm Springs. John and I are a couple and we just keep coming back. The owners are a hoot, very gracious to your particular needs and the manager is just too fun. If you are single it may be even better depending on the guests staying on when you are there. Just have never found a better more comfortable place ever. I can't wait till we go back.

Relax and Unwind

Step back to Old Palm Springs atmosphere, when movie stars lounged about the pools. Paul and Bruce offer an assortment of rooms at affordable prices. 2 pools, a good size jacuzzi, steam room, and continental breakfast each morning. I have stayed at El Mirasol 5 times and have always had a most enjoyable time. Have met some guys, several are now friends who keep in contact. So if you're looking for a place to relax and unwind, this is it. You can be in solitude or meet some great guys, it's your choice.

My favorite place

This place has got to my favorite place to stay. A little on the pricey side, but everytime we stray away for the cheaper deal we end up disappointed. Very classy feel. The casitas are the bomb.

SAFETY LAST

Not that Harold LLoyd would have stayed here, these aging stucco bungalows built by Howard Hughes in the 40's. My room was located on the side of the property without the heated pool and near the ice machine. The two water heaters next to my room kept me up as they noisily produced sounds through the pipes. Luckily, I was awake at 4 AM when an intruder used a key to open my door! Run, don't walk from El Mirasol.

A Little too Quiet for Me

The architectural style is interesting. My room was clean, and so were the grounds. This is probably a good choice for more mature travelers, but it was just too quiet for me.
