The holiday season kicks off Wednesday, December 5th, 2012 with the return of SPARKLE: An All-Star Holiday Concert benefiting Desert AIDS Project at the Annenberg Theater in the Palm Springs Art Museum in Palm Springs, CA.
An all-star cast brings together performers from the worlds of film, television, Broadway and the music industry to get you in to the spirit of the season as they perform your favorite holiday songs at this one night only “cavalcade of stars” extravaganza. Sparkle is co-produced and Hosted by award-winning TV personality Scott Nevins (The Smoking Gun Presents…) and Palm Springs entrepreneur Mark Jones in conjunction with Brighthaus Marketing.
The evening is made possible through the generosity of Presenting Sponsor Integrated Wealth Management, VIP Event Sponsor LULU California Bistro, and Hotel Sponsor The Saguaro, Print Media Sponsor LIVE MAGAZINE, as well as other area businesses. The event includes a silent auction with incredible items offered to the highest bidder, with all of the proceeds going directly to Desert AIDS Project.
SPARKLE: An All-Star Holiday Concert delivers another exciting evening of holiday music featuring some of your favorite performers from today’s hottest Broadway and Television shows, plus some legendary showbiz personalities to deliver extra holiday cheer. Currently scheduled to perform are Tony and Emmy Award® Winning Broadway Diva Lillias White (“The Life”, “Dreamgirls”, "Fela!"), Grammy nominated singer & beloved TV/Broadway actress Ilene Graff (“Promises, Promises”, “Mr. Belvedere”), two-time Emmy nominated soap star Bobbie Eakes (“All My Children”, “The Bold and the Beautiful”), Tony Award® Nominee Sharon McKnight (“Starmites”, “Red Hot Mama”), Wilson Cruz (“Grey’s Anatomy”, “My So Called Life”, “RENT”), Ginifer King (Co-starred in Bernadette Peter’s “GYPSY”, Chris Colfer’s film “Struck By Lightning” and lead in the upcoming Nickelodeon Pilot “Haunted Hathaways”), Nick Adams (“Priscilla: Queen of the Desert”, "Guys & Dolls", "A Chorus Line") Erin Quill (Original Cast Member from Broadway’s “Avenue Q”), Julie Garnye (“Hair: In Concert”, “Tinkerbell: the movie”), Dionne Gipson (“Black Dynamite”, “For the Record...") and international recording artist Kelly King adding up to an all-star lineup for this star-studded Holiday spectacular! In addition to being the show’s co-Producer, Scott Nevins will also be hosting the evening.
The producers have said an announcement is forthcoming regarding additional performers as well.
General Admission Tickets for the show are $65 each; VIP Tickets (which include premium reserved seating and VIP After-Party with food and hosted bar at LULU – A California Bistro) are $150 each. A complimentary shuttle has been generouosly provided by The Saguaro to bring people from the Annenberg to LULU California Bistro and back, should they desire.
