American Express Presents Stonewall Equality Concert:
Weekend Kick Off!
The outdoor concert is completely free to the public.
The concert will feature artists whose musical backgrounds span the worlds of Broadway, Indie, and Jazz. Confirmed artists include the incomparable Irene Soderberg, the Palm Springs Gay Men's Chorus and DJ Corey D spinning a retro 80s mix. Other artists making a special appearance are Doug Strahm and Arro Verse. Strahm will perform his single “Leaving it Behind,” from his debut project “Everything Has Changed.” The song along with a powerful video tells the story of a U.S. soldier who leaves for active duty and is missing the one he loves back home. Arro Verse, a singer/songwriter who uses her musical talents to advocate for the LGBT community, will perform her recently released song “Marry Me.”
Join us at Forever Marilyn to celebrate the recent legalization of same-sex marriage in California, the repeal of DOMA and the progress toward equality since the 1969 Stonewall riots in New York City. The free concert is an opportunity to honor those who work to preserve gains and meet equal rights challenges facing the LGBT community.
The concert sponsored by American Express and PNN Radio.
Admission is free to the public. Beverage garden will be open for those 21+ and food will be available for purchase.
