Opening the festival on Tuesday evening is Views on Native Film — a free panel discussion with N. Bird Runningwater (Cheyenne and Mescalero Apache) — Filmmaker, Director of Sundance Native Film Lab Fellowship Program, and Programmer of Native Initiative of Sundance Institute; Writer and Film Director Sydney Freeland (Navajo); and Elizabeth Weatherford — Director and Founder, Film and Video Center, Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian. The panel will take a look at the impact of the Sundance Institute on the development of Native film.
All are welcome and admission is free.
