These revues not only bring back memories to Doris Day’s many fans but introduce her to new audiences. All who have seen the tributes marvel at how well Kristi King captures the sound, the look and the spirit of the beloved entertainer.
A top recording and movie star of the Forties, Fifties and Sixties, Ms. Day retired from show business more that 30 years ago, but is alive and well, spending her time managing her animal welfare foundations. She prefers a quiet life in her home in Northern California, but made a rare public appearance at her 90th birthday on April 3, 2014.
Doris Day’s popularity has never waned. Her CDs and movies are still in demand, and her recordings can be heard on sound tracks of new movies and television shows.
It is true that everybody does love Doris Day, and particularly Kristi’s interpretation of her. Kristi not only looks like the singer-actress, but she sounds like her too! When she sings one of her hit songs, like “Que Sera, Sera,” you’d swear it was Doris herself. Don’t miss this opportunity to see Kristi King’s tribute to Doris Day.
KRISTI KING has been a professional singer since she first took the stage in her native Portland, Oregon, at the age of twelve.
