Serious Food (Closed Permanently) Formerly: Hamburger Mary's

(31 Ratings)
This food is seriously tastey
The old Hamburger Mary's. As if the name wasn't reason enough to check out this joint, their food is something else

Less gay than might be expected

Ironically, both Palm Springs and the franchise Hamburger Mary's are known for overt homosexuality, yet this is merely a standard hamburger-based restaurant equally suitable for "family" or families. Although you'll find more of a homo-element here than, say, iHop, it's nowhere near the level at gay-focused places like Blame It On Midnight, Wang's, or Rick's.

Typical breakfast - OK place. One hot waiter.

Friends wanted to go to Hamburger Mary's for breakfast - sure, why not? I haven't been for several years (I think it was a chicken quesadilla). Anyway, breakfast is typical. I guess there were more choices but we weren't given a full breakfast menu, so who knows what else they had. Food was decent. Our friends knew the bartender, so it was fun when sat with us here and there. Waiter (not ours) walking around was hot and most of our table was commenting about him. All in all, not bad. I would return to try other things without any expectations (yet).
