Depends on the night and the season
Palm Springs is very transitional; most of the residents are older and not much for dancing. The younger clientele usually comes from out of the area and where they decide to go depends on other events going on in the valley, San Diego and Orange County as well as the season. I've had great times here, other times not enough people around to make it interesting but for most weekends this is the hot spot to be at. If it's not busy, check out some of the other clubs or bars, there is quite a bit of variety in PS.
I like Wed. nights the best
They have some nice dancers and an underwear contest that always has a suprise. The dance floor has alot of room to dance on Wed. so enjoy the fun.
Inconsistant
We've visited Hunters twice, about a year apart, same time of year, both times over a weekend. The first time was quite fun, with a diverse crowd and good music. The second time the place was largely empty, save for a bachelorette party for a straight girl and the DJ stank. The venue is nice: large and well maintained with a good-sized dancefloor sepatate from the main bar. Drinks seemed reasonable (not a drinker, so cant rate the quality) and the go-gos were nice, though a couple of them could have used a gym membership.
Fun place - wish we had stayed longer
I really like Hunters. It was dead when we got there at about 9, but by 10 it was kicking with all kinds of guys, mostly on the cuter, younger side. The music was good. We left and went to Toucan's and wished we had stayed at Hunter's longer. Fun place!
Where the boys go!
Read "unfriendly" below. I guarantee you this sullen jerk didn't get laid so he took it out on the entire city. Can we help you leave town sooner next time mate? This is the best boy bar in town. Crowd shows up in mass at 10pm. Good music. Its not a big city bar, but still fun. Wed and Thurs nite can be fun too. Event weekends are jammed. Come to have fun...out of town Euro-jerks...may we direct you to Toucans?
