Piss poor place for breakfast!
Terrible service
Had a chicken breast sandwich which I had to send back, it was so overcooked. The staff don't "connect" with gay people. All extremely young and are not professional. I gave them 4 chances. Also, I've noticed they do not advertise in any of the local gay magazines/handouts. They are happy to take yur money though.
Location, location, location
Whatever this space has been over the years, it has always depended on the street traffic passing between the numerous bars and other GLBT businesses on Gay-renas Road. That's why it's unnecessary to distinguish with exceptional food, service, or value - as long as the tables are full of people to watch and be watched, they'll keep coming (but only when they're in the neighborhood for other reasons).
Great sidewalk cafe for lunch or dinner
This reasonably priced diner located right in gay central PS is a wonderful treat. The menu is mosly lunch faire or light dinner faire and very casual. The offer wonderful sandwiches and salads, full bar and people watching while sitting on the patio is great. A PS favorite for me.
Brunch
I have only been here for brunch with another friend. Sat at the bar waiting for a table outside...friendly bartender and decent drinks. The service was a bit slow, however, when the food came it was worth it. Not the cleanest place in boystown but still a good time. It gets busy so plan on a wait!
Great Atmosphere and Location, Good Food
I visited Palm Springs from March 18-24 and ate here for lunch three times. The outdoor patio in the heart of the Arenas Road area is ideal for those who want to watch the crowd and maybe be watched a little themselves. The food was good without being too over-the-top for this casual dining experience. The guacomole was freshly made and really tasty. The service during lunch was attentive each time I ate and the place was hopping.
over priced bar food
last time I was there SERVICE was noone existant....the staff members were TOO busy chatting wit heach other to ASSIST anyone. I wanted more coffee and had to call out for a waiter.the food was cold and covered in SPECIA LSAUCE (Russian dressing)..menu was SO dirty I asked for another one to read..Gay staff, dishing NOT serving
Disappointed
Supporting Gay business is a must for me - but Johnny's won't get mine. Just because you thought I was a one time tourist you were wrong. Service was poor, upcharged for seasoning on my fries $2.50 - had no idea, not a menu. Soda, $3.25, never got a refill. The people they knew received better service. Two burgers with fries, a soda for two $36.40, knowing I won't be back - PRICELESS!
NO GREAT BUT GOOD
Always good food and service at a good price.
