If you like abuse, try Tropicale
Unfortunately, a reservation several weeks ahead of time means waiting over an hour and a half for a table not large enough for your group and management that chided the group for requesting a table that would accomodate our whole party. Then, the food was bland and overpriced, we couldn't get the attention of our waiter, food was mixed up and our bill was wrong. When asking for the manager, we were again, treated like dirt. Nastiness must be the new way to treat customers. Don't waste your time or money.
This is the best restaurant ever!!!!
They really have it together!! Total package, great food, great staff, great atmosphere, and great value. I would recommend this place over and over again. All I have to say is when are you expanding? This place ROCKS!!!!!
If you enjoy rude service, go here! If not, DON'T
The hosts were absolutely rude and disrespectful. And don't bother with a reservation, it means absolutely nothing to the restaurant. They will seat you whenever they want. We were there at 8:28pm for our 8:30pm reservation. And by 9:30pm, and several complaints, we finally got seated. Instead of indoor non-smoking as reserved, we were seated in outdoor smoking noisy bar area. When we protested and threatened to leave, a bunch of indoor tables magically appeared and became available. Anyway, we left in anger and will never go back. Also, the place was very noisy. The place was cramp. If you want a better dining expereince, try somewhere else.
Miami meets Hawaii meets Palm Springs
Remember Miami when it was "glam"...and Hawaii when Hoolah's was still under the island's grandest Banyan Tree...it's great to have yet another iconic treat like Tropicale right in our backyard (Palm Springs). Try the Ceasar salad!!!
Over it!
I was hopeful that this restaurant would make it. The food is good, not excellent. The service is good, not excellent. The management is the poorest I have ever encountered, however. After 10 minutes of the lights being dimmed and then turned back up, I went to the reception desk to ask if they could please not play with the lights. Perhaps play was not the right word to use....I was told, and I quote, "this is my dining room and I will adjust the lights as I please". I ask, is this how you want to be treated?
