Hollywood-themed suites
This beautifully landscaped resort features themed rooms such as the Bette Midler Suite, the Barbra Streisand Suite, the Madonna Room (the singer, not the virgin), and the spacious Marilyn Monroe Presidential Suite, each with portraits of their namesakes hanging on the wall. Friendly innkeepers and clothing-optional grounds make this a perfect place to lounge.

No Joke, you will too. That is if you are looking for a clean, nice, comfortable, tropical, relaxing, clothing optional, intimate and affordable gay mens resort. Me bias, hell yeah, I've been the property manager for 6 years and left corporate hospitality to work here. I've met some of the most wonderful and worldly travelers as well as many west coast weekenders. The Desert Paradise has a very hight return clientelle and its no suprise why. I hope you take the time and stop by for a tour or go the website and take a virtual tour of any room at We've also gone mobil. I hope to see you soon.

      I must say I enjoyed...
... my stay at the Desert Paradise in February. My room (Bette Davis Suite) was both comfortable and clean, serviced every day. The grounds are very well-tended, too, with lots of nice flowers. Pity about some of the guests, though - a couple of big mouths with a little twink in tow, who brought in pther big-mouthed guests from outside, plus an absolutely pathetic pair from WI. They got up quite a few people's noses! Ron is always on hand, helpful and cheerful, and doing his best to make things go as well as possible. On balance, I think I'll go back to Desert Paradise!

First time at a Gay Guesthouse
This was our first time staying at a gay resort and it was really a very nice time. Rooms are a little dated but the grounds are very nice and the pool was wonderful. Older crowd but that was expected. Some attitude but for the most part the guys friendly. Big plus is that they accept pets on a limited basis and we were able to arrange to bring our dog.

      Mixed group
This is my second visit to the Desert Paradise. The first one was back in November and there were a mixed group of singles and couples. The Age range was from 20 something to a couple who were in their 60's. Everybody was really nice, relaxed and NO attitudes. It definately IS NOT a bath house like some other places in the area. What I liked most was all it had to offer. Great staff, Steam room and Dry sauna, comfortable clean large rooms. I was in the Doris Day.. Great view of the Jacuzzi (more action at night). The Breakfast was really more than I expected. So much to choose from, not just toast, coffee and a Banana. We had really good weather and the staff was more than helpful with directions, suggestions and all around good people. We were there for a week and the only thing I didn't like was ... Nothing It really is a nice place to stay.. like I said NOT a bath house but we had fun at night on the grounds. I will be back for 3rd visit this July.

      A little dated, but pleasant
The rooms are a little dated, but the resort itself is quite pleasant- and worth the price you pay. The grounds are beautiful- the pool heated and the dry and wet saunas a nice extra touch. The breakfast is disappointing (cheapest oj possible) but once again for the price you pay - ($150 a night) you're still getting your money's worth. Older crowd mostly and very friendly staff.

A great intimate resort. Clean and well maintained. If you're looking for 24 hour non-stop action, look somewhere else. If you're looking for relaxing, social and a little flirty (okay, maybe I flirted a lot), this is it. One of the most relaxing weekend escapes ever. Ron is such a cool host. We'll be back soon.

      Great Resort Great Stay
This was my first stay at this resort and it won't be my last. This resort is truly PARADISE and THE WHOLE PROPERTY IS REALLY CLEAN!!! Dale (the owner) and Ron (the manager)attention to detail and cleanliness is unmatched. Reservation Experience- Excellent. Made reservation via phone. Given Conformation # and received a follow-up E-mail with included arrival and departure dates, room #, rate/night, total $$ including all taxes. (Nice! - NO surprises) I was contacted about a week (via E-mail and phone) before arrival to confirm my estimated time of arrival. Check-in and Check-out - Excellent - Flawless. Since this was my first visit, I was given a short orientation of the property and my room. They also have a resort channel that continually repeats useful information about everything you could possibly want to know about the resort. (Like how to adjust the thermostat and ceiling fan, office hours, emergency phone #'s ,breakfast time, etc.) Between my personal orientation and the resort channel all my questions were answered. My Room I was in the one of smallest room offered (Room 12- Mae West Room) . It was spacious and comfortable. Bed- California King- Comfy Room Amenities Microwave- Coffee maker (with coffee) -Refrigerator -Plates -Cutlery -Can opener- Cups- Ice bucket -Microwave popcorn. 27" TV with basic cable and 15 Adult channels- Clock radio, Remote controlled ceiling fan- Dimmable bed lights- Writing desk -Full size iron and ironing board- Wall safe- Phone- Fully adjustable thermostat for central air conditioner (powerful but quiet)-Wood plantation shutters that did a very good job of darkening the room- Quiet ( I had neighbors on both sides of me and heard only occasional muffled sounds) Linen- Top Quality sheets-Nice large bath and pool towels-All linen were very clean -(NO mystery stains) Bath- Large -Well lit - large 2-man shower with adjustable height shower massage -adjustable magnifying shaving mirror- top quality toiletries -Hair dryer Resort Staff- Friendly- Easy going- Efficient- Very knowledgeable of Palm Springs Resort Location- In the heart of the Warm Sands resort district. It's within easy walking distance to downtown and its many fine restaurants. A Ralphs Grocery is located a short .7 of a mile away. Resort Grounds & Amenities- Landscape is Lush- Tropical- Beautiful flowers everywhere -Mountain views- Numerous water features- Very nice night landscape lighting including a chandelier suspended between two palm trees- Nice soft music can be heard throughout the grounds -There's a BBQ for your use- Plenty of comfy lounge chairs- Fire pit - picnic tables-The heated Pool is salt water based( very body friendly). - Steam room - Sauna- Jacuzzi. The Jacuzzis temperature was so comfortable you could stay in for long periods of time without overheating Breakfast- It is self service between 8:00 and 10:00 AM. Have as much as you want. Other Guests The majority of the guests during my 6 day stay range in age from the 40's to the 50's. About 70% were couples to 30% singles. All men over age 18 are welcome to this no attitude resort. During my stay there was a group of 4 guys in their early 20's. At first, they were a little shy, but soon were cavorting and interacting with the other guests. Us "OLD" guys really enjoyed their youthful exuberance. The sexual atmosphere is rated as low. If you want a highly charged sexual atmosphere, this is not the resort for you. Suggestion- If you want to experience both a quiet relaxing environment as well as a highly charged sexual one- Stay here for the relaxing part and get yourself a day/night pass at one of the other sexually charged resorts located around Palm Springs. Stay at Desert Paradise -Play at ____.The property is clothing optional in all areas. I'd estimate it was 50-50 as to those wearing a swimsuit to those who went nude. Web-site - Easy to navigate-Lots of information- You can check out each room via a 365* panorama camera. David Seattle Wa
